Jennifer Burton

Jennifer Burton is the founder of SWAY, a strategic communications and media production company that moves candidates and organizations to victory. Jennifer brings over 28 years of distilling messages into creative advertising strategies to help companies, campaigns, organizations and non-profits achieve their communication goals.

Jennifer’s flair for producing creative, original ads has helped elect dozens of members of Congress and state-wide office holders, helped pass many critical ballot measures and state-wide initiatives and garnered many awards from the American Association of Political Consultants. Some of her past and current clients include Congresswoman Marie Newman, Congressman Peter DeFazio, Rhode Island Secretary of State Nellie Gorbea, Oregon, Attorney General Dan Rayfield, New Mexico Auditor Brian Colón, Senator Martin Heinrich, Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice Jill Karofsky, the North Carolina House & Senate, VoteVets and Planned Parenthood. Jennifer’s work has helped pass critical ballot measures in Idaho, Oregon and Florida. In addition to her work on behalf of candidates, Jennifer has worked for many companies and organizations, assisting with image campaigns and producing successful ad campaigns. Prior to her work as a media consultant, Jennifer worked for the DCCC and for House Majority Leader Dick Gephardt.

Jennifer is a board member of 4EYE, a new art house cinema non-profit. She is a past board member of Impact100 DC, the DC Campaign to Prevent Teen Pregnancy, the Mental Health Association of Montgomery County, and former board chair of Stone Soup Films.

Jennifer lives in Chevy Chase, MD with her husband Jon and their blended family of 4 children and 2 rambunctious dogs.
