Claire Uhar
Claire Uhar is the Founder and CEO of OBSCURE, a strategic partner to leaders and platforms shaping the intersection of media, technology, and capital, operating between Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
Her career has been shaped inside fast-moving, high-stakes environments. The first company she helped build exited when she was just 21, giving her early exposure to how technical fluency, culture, and growth converge and how early decisions shape scale, integration, and long-term outcomes. She remained through post-exit transitions, gaining firsthand perspective on integration and long-term value creation. She went on to operate across community, brand, and partnerships inside venture-backed companies navigating growth and acquisition.
Claire later led strategy at creator-focused product studios, building platforms and media tools before the “creator economy” entered the mainstream. This work sits at the foundation of today’s creator-driven and AI-enabled media landscape. She then served in strategy and sales roles at EVERFI, a social impact technology company, where she worked closely with senior leadership on major partnerships, including international collaborations that contributed to its acquisition by Blackbaud.
She went on to help launch Protocol, part of the Politico Media Group, driving go-to-market strategy and strategic partnerships through the pandemic and a period of heightened public and institutional scrutiny, ahead of its acquisition by Axel Springer.
After more than a decade operating at the intersection of innovation, infrastructure, and influence, Claire founded OBSCURE in 2022 to formalize this work.
Today, OBSCURE partners with an exclusive set of emerging and established organizations across entertainment, tech, and capital during moments of inflection: bringing strategic clarity, trusted networks, and hands-on execution to help leadership teams move forward with intention.
